As we look back on 2024, we are reminded of the blessings of good health, the unwavering support of friends and family, and the trust of amazing clients like you. Thank you for being an essential part of the Getwine story this year!

This year brought South Africa a renewed sense of hope and possibility with the establishment of a vibrant Government of National Unity, featuring dynamic ministers from across the political spectrum working together for the nation's future.

We celebrated ground-breaking achievements across a wide spectrum of areas:

  • Mia le Roux, a trailblazer, became the first deaf Miss South Africa, inspiring the nation with her grace and determination;

  • Tatjana Schoenmaker brought home the gold in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke at the 2024 Summer Olympics, making us beam with pride;

  • The Springboks reaffirmed their dominance in rugby, reclaiming the Rugby Championship title and securing victories against all their European rivals in the year-end tour;

  • Bafana Bafana made history, topping their group and qualifying for a second consecutive AFCON Cup, giving soccer fans a reason to celebrate!

On the economic front, falling interest rates and a strengthening Rand added to the sense of optimism, making it the perfect time to raise a glass of your favourite wine to toast this remarkable year!

Here’s to a bright future and a prosperous 2025—cheers! 🥂

Ad, Karel and Johan Wegner
